LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AT THE NEXT EDITION OF DANCESCREEN IN 2019.

The 14th dancescreen edition in 2016 will take place within FRAME-The London dance film festival from 9-12 June 2016 at Kingston Upon Thames, UK. FRAME is hosted by BalletBoyz, the celebrated dance and filmmaking company by former Royal Ballet dancers Michael Nunn and William Trevitt.
The aim of dancescreen is to bring audiences from all over the world in touch with dance and to create a dialogue between international filmmakers, dance and video artists, distributors and broadcasters. Dancescreen in cooperation with FRAME will offer an opportunity for creative talents in the arts to show their work, share experience and enjoy the best that dance and dance film offers.
Filmmakers, choreographers, dance and video artists, producers, distributors and broadcasters are invited to submit dance-based films produced since June 2013, which have not been previously entered in dancescreen.
Submission opens 2 November 2015 and closes 31 January 2016.
‘Films in competition’ will be announced on 03 May 2016.
With the announcement of the shortlist, those selected for competition will then be contacted by FRAME: The London Dance Film Festival to confirm details for their presentation at the festival.
Due to its long tradition, dimension, effect and impact dancescreen is the most prestigious international competition among the dance film and video festivals. The submission for the dance films in the catagories Live performance relay and camera re-work, Animation, Screen choreography (up to 5 minutes, up to 15 minutes and over 15 minutes) will be open from 2 November 2015 – 31 January 2016.
The dancescreen Awards for "Best Film", "Best Student Film" and 2016 as a special the "Technical Innovation Award (Muybridge Award)" will be announced at 12 June during FRAME- The London dance film festival. Additionally, in each category a much-appreciated distinction is given. Many awarded or nominated films and videos directly found their way to a TV slot.
