IMZ is very pleased to announce dance screen at Cinedans 2010. The 12th international festival and competition for dance films and videos will take place in cooperation with Cinedans, the Dutch international film, dance and media festival. In Cinedans, we have found synergetic partners to co-organise this event, who additionally to their experience in programming dance films and videos and organising a competition also focus on crossover projects and media installations with movement as the main subject. The Cinedans festival further features commissioned film projects, live games and workshops and will take place from 8 – 12 December, Amsterdam.
Two festivals with the same core interest but with different orientations will join forces!

dance screen will be held from 9 – 12 December, Amsterdam, featuring an extensive film programme for all lovers of dance and dance film/video, which brings together the newest, most exciting, trend-setting, controversial, most beautiful works of its kind. dance screen is also a conference: Lively panels and productive discussions on the state of the arts, inspiring lectures, hot topic talks on community focal points and presentations are at its core. Co-productions are initiated and supported, networks built and a platform for international interchange in this field offered.
